In all its facets, it shows people how meaningful and unique it is. The **rich flora and fauna** of our region has inspired many writers to create works about nature. Fritz Reuter, in his day, was of the opinion: “Paradise must have been located here.” The unspoiled **beauty of the Mecklenburg Lake District**, as well as of Müritz National Park and the Nossentiner/Schwinzer Heide Nature Park, is incomparable. The Damerower Werder European bison reserve and Affenwald Malchow are also popular day trip destinations with excellent reviews. Well-developed paths invite you to go **hiking or cycling**. Many long-distance cycle routes run through this unique landscape, first and foremost the Berlin–Copenhagen Cycle Route. It passes just 100 m from our holiday apartments. Besides the nature of fields, meadows and forests, there are also numerous species of birds and fish. These are especially impressive to explore by boat. Our **literally 1,000 lakes** are mostly connected by rivers and canals on the water and by a multitude of cycle paths on land, which makes the Mecklenburg Lake District a **perfect playground for outdoor fans**. That way everyone – whether alone or in a group – finds the right craft for the Jabelscher See. No. Our motorboats (e.g. the Aqua 495 and Lakeman 550) are license-free and can be driven from age 16. At handover you’ll receive a detailed introduction – no prior experience is needed. Yes. Much of it is available flexibly by the hour, for a half day or for a full day. Just ask us, we’re happy to advise you. Daily from 9:00 am–5:30 pm. No. The boats can only be rented during opening hours from 9:00 am–5:30 pm.
